France Télévision’s coverage made sophisticated use of key enabling technologies that allowed it to bring the Paris Olympics experience, and its atmosphere of togetherness and optimism, to millions of viewers around the country.
France Télévisions and its partners combined cutting-edge technologies, such as the ST 2110 standard for IP-based production workflows to revolutionized its capabilities, allowing for high-quality, scalable, and flexible operations.
The broadcaster also embraced advanced cloud-based production techniques, AI-powered workflows, and 5G networks, enabling them to broadcast from multiple locations with enhanced efficiency and sustainability.
These solid fundamentals were used by France Télévisions to deliver the media event in UHD 4K resolution, and with Next Generation Audio, giving its audiences an immersive and crystal-clear viewing experience.
The innovative use of multi-camera setups allowed for perspectives not normally available to media audiences. And augmented replays, as well as enhanced real-time statistics and graphics, engaged sports fans like never before.
