Welcome Reception
This will take place at the Corinthia Hotel on the evening of Wednesday 11 June at 20.00, in the Foyer Suite I on the 3rd floor. Catch up with friends and colleagues over drinks and snacks.
Farewell Dinner
Delegates and accompanying partners are invited to a wine tasting followed by the traditional farewell dinner at the Villa Richter Restaurant, Prague.
Buses will leave the Corinthia Hotel at 19.00.
Post-Assembly Excursion
Delegates and accompanying partners are invited on an excursion to Kutná Hora, a medieval silver mining centre that was once the second richest city in the Kingdom of Bohemia. The former wealth of the town is today reflected in the variety of architectural monuments and in the preserved structure of the town centre. Kutná Hora has been on the UNESCO list of cultural heritage sites since 1995.
Coaches will leave the Corinthia Hotel at 08.30 and the estimated return time is 18.00.
In the morning, delegates will visit St Barbara’s Cathedral, the Church of the Assumption of Virgin Mary and St. John the Baptist, and the Italian Court. The morning tour finishes at 13.00 when lunch will be served.
In the afternoon, the tour will take delegates to the Sedlec Ossuary – one of the most interesting burial grounds in the world. Of particular interest is the chapel which is decorated with more than 40,000 human bones, arranged into a chandelier, as well as the Schwarzenberg Coat-of-Arms.
Delegates also have the possibility of a coach transfer from Kutná Hora after lunch to the airport to catch a late afternoon/evening flight. The estimated transfer time is 2 hours.
Accompanying Partners
In the afternoon of Thursday 12 June, accompanying partners are invited to a sightseeing tour of Prague city centre. The tour will be preceded by lunch with delegates at the Corinthia Hotel. The meeting point for lunch will be near the EBU secretariat located on the 3rd floor of the hotel, near Suite I, at 13.00.
The tour will commence at 14.30 and should finish at approximately 17.30.
