This report covers two subjective evaluations that aimed to answer the question "How much can 100 Hz High Frame Rate (HFR) video improve picture quality?"
The subjective evaluations described in this publication used various combinations of transmission format (1080p, 2160p), framerate (50p, 100p), camera shutter (180 degrees, 360 degrees) and display-side motion-compensated frame interpolation (MCFI). The tests were organized and executed by the EBU and the IRT, with assistance from the BBC and the RAI.
