Social Media Apps are not without risks.
Social Media applications are extensively used in EBU Member organizations, in particular by front-line journalists, for personal and professional reasons.
If not used with caution, such apps may put at risk not only the personal data privacy and security of the user, but also that of the entire broadcasting organization. In R162, the EBU's Media Cybersecurity Group has listed a set of high level recommendations for EBU Members and other broadcasters to better mitigate the risks of using Social Media Apps.
